Remarks: | This aircraft crashed on January 15, 2008, at 1120 UTC. It was on a training flight originating from Cairo, when it crashed at Port Said (HEP). Visual meteorological conditions prevailed. Both pilot and trainee student were fatally injured. The aircraft was destroyed and there was a post-crash fire. The pilots were conducting touch and go landings on runway 01 at HEP. The aircraft was on takeoff climb to start the seventh circuit when the crash occurred. The aircraft crashed about 500 meters from the airport and east of the extended runway centerline. |
