Remarks: | Athens became by co-incidence a destination that is served by the the world's most rare ultra-long range widebody, the Airbus A340-500. Both Emirates and Thai fly to LGAV several times a week, with Emirates beeing a daily service. In order to understand how rare it is, you must know that more B747-SP's flew (45 built) than A340-500's (34 built) and even it's main competitor, the B777-200LR, is less rare (36 built with 20 more on order). This is my 600th picture on airpics. New reg on the db. |
